Can the pa4x replicate the Hank Marvin sound from tunes like Apache?

The STS 4 guitar in the Shadow Pop style in the PA3xle is almost exactly the same sound he uses.

If it can be replicated in the PA3xle then it should pose no problem for the PA4x to do as well.

Many thanks for that info Nitecrawler. Very much appreciated and reassuring.
Today is an exciting day. My old photography shop has agreed to buy my gear for more than I thought I'd get. In fact enough to buy a 61 key pa4x here in Vietnam or a 76 key pa4x in Singapore.
So I'm off of Saigon today to look at my choices and make the decision. Even thinking about a 4x is a bit presumptuous as I'm still a learner but on paper it seems a big jump up from the pa900/pa3x LE.

I created some "Hank-like" samples a while ago which work fine on PA1X/2X/3X/4X

I can make these available for you if the sounds suit you

I set up these sounds using the fabulous Korg PA DNC so you can switch sounds using the assignment switches or foot pedal like "EC5"

Re: HankStrat.SET.zip

1. unzip the file
2. If you load the whole SET it will overwrite USER01 sound bank
3. Alternatively you can load the bank on its own or individual SOUNDs to any location of your choice (samples will also load OK).

About the SOUNDs

All sounds use DNC (use the switches 1 & 2) and have the letters f, fs, ,p, ps, and m

f = bright Stratt sound
p = softer Strat sound
m = muted Strat sound
fs and ps are same sounds but with slow attack which Hank often uses

DNC is set up for switches 1 & 2
DNC is set up for “booking” (i.e. switches must be held down)
DNCt is set up for “toggle” (i.e. switch will toggle the sound on/off)

So example:
Sound “Hank f/p/m DNC” (switches are red):-
Default sound is “f”
Switch 1 held down will play “p”
Switch 2 held down will play “m”

Sound “Hank f/p/m DNCt” (switches are green):-
Default sound is “f”
Switch 1 will toggle “p”
Switch 2 will toggle “m”

As you will see I have provided 5 combinations of these sounds and each with “toggle” or “booking” DNC options
