Piano sound goes "bad" on some keys - Reboot fixes

Anyone else experience this?

I'll have the Concert Grand sound on Layer 1 and suddenly the Eb in the octave above Middle C goes "bad". It suddenly sounds like a muted "thunk" with a partial overtone, but no real tone.

If I reboot the PA4X, all is well again.

I guess I am the only one with this issue. I wonder what causes it.

Thanks, Pete.

Here is how I can reproduce it on my PA4X:

Load in the Concert Grand KeySet.
Play the Eb5 (assuming here that Middle C is C5)

Now switch the Concert Piano SOUND on Upper 1 to Classic Piano (which is on tab P2 of the factory piano SOUNDS.)

Play the Eb5 (not a chord; the black key in the C5 octave)

Then switch BACK to the Concert Piano SOUND on tab P1 of the piano factory sounds.

The Eb5 is "wrong" and weak now.

I couldn't reproduce this on my PA4X 76. Tried it several time with no problems.

That's good information. Thanks for trying it. At least it sounds like something that can be fixed.

I wonder, can I just reload PCM data from an earlier backup?
