New Krome user; keyboard goes silent after 1min of non use

Hi, sorry if this has already been answered, I just bought a Krome 61 keyboard recently and noticed that when I don't touch the keys for about a minute the keys are non responsive for the first note I play... so in order to hear sound from a note I have to hit it an extra time and then it seems to be active again.. not sure if anyone else has this problem, I have other keyboards where the sound is consistent even if I leave the room for an hour, any help would be appreciated, I've checked the auto sleep function but it's turned off.
