Hi,
I am using a factory style for a song. I want to use two different variations. Can i switch off the drum track in only one of the variations.
So i want to use variation one with the drum track and variation 2 without the drum track (only accompaniment).
If i switch off the drum track by going in the style edit it switches off for all the variations.
Thanx

Did you try setting volume to 0 ?
You could have a work around, and edit the style track for the 2nd drum variation by replacing it with an empty track..

Am I missing something ? Cant you just use the volume slider for the drum track on variation 2 ? that's what its designed for and much easier than trying to reprogram a style .

You can lower the Expression of the Drum track from 127 to zero for Variation 2.
Go to Style Record Mode > Element Track Controls > Expression page and lower the expression of the DR track to your liking (0-127) and then Write Current Style. Done

....other thing to consider is that, as you say it's a factory style, so you may need to write the style to a USER location if you want to use it again without redoing the editing.

I use the three dedicated control buttons in the manner.
1-Cut Acc. 1 to 5
2-Cut bass
3-Cut drums
Using this setup plus using the pads can they all the boredom from the styles.
