Korg Es2 not quantised correctly???

I recently bought an electribe sampler 2 and had a go a making some patterns. I noticed my patterns seemed slightly off beat. So to test this I input a very simple sequence of a 4/4 kick with a clap on every 2nd beat. I noticed there was a minor delay between the kick and clap sound being played although they are both supposed to be triggered at the exact same time. I understand that the electribe is automatically quantised to each of the 16 pads and quantisation can't be turned off but don't understand why 2 sounds that are supposed to be triggered at the same time have a delay between them. All the latest firmware is installed and I have been using the factory sounds sounds. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what I can do to fix this?

Thanks

Look at the kick and clap kick and clap wav-files in an editor, there may be a gap before the actual sound start.

I agree. Also, the fadein (attack) time may be longer on the kick. To verify, try to put the clap on both parts. They should be synchronized.

He said he's using the factory sounds so this would not apply.

My guess would be the groove templates.
