MicroSTATION MIDI controller capabilities

Hey Korg folks...

I'm considering adding the MicroSTATION to my live performance rig (as a MIDI controller) and I have some questions:

1. Can the keyboard be split into more than two "zones", each transmitting on a different MIDI channel? It looks like it can be divided into up to 16 zones. If so, that would be awesome!

2. If I connect it to my computer via USB, will the keyboard still function "internally" and transmit MIDI data out of its own "hardware" MIDI port? Ideally, I'd like to be able to use it to simultaneously control my computer (Kontakt) and external sound modules (connected to the MicroSTATION via MIDI cable).

Any answers you can provide would be greatly appreciated! :-)

1) YES, in the Combination Mode: up to 16 key/split-zones, up to 16 timbres/sounds can outputs individually to 16 MIDI channels or to 1 global MIDI chn.
You can also layer sounds up to 16 timbres in the velocity-zones.
2) YES.

All above are easily modified with the pc editor.

Download the manuals to read it yourself:
