Hi all.
I try to use as many factory styles as I can for my song book entries so can I ask what style you guys use for the well known, played to death showstopper, 'My Way'. I'm using "Sweet Ballad" at the moment, I know its in the User bank but it was included in the upgrade so I leave them where they are and class them as Factory styles. Any suggestions please?
Cheers Rob

I like this song with a big band feel. I use "Serenade Band" in the Jazz bank

Thats a nice feel. Thanks
Just a suggestion , I wonder if a list like this could be created over time and kept as a reference. Not sure how it would work. Any thoughts.

This is a great topic.
One of the things I find lacking in some of the Korg styles is escalating action in some of the style variations. Var 1 should be subdued and minimal to focus on the vocals and verses, however Var 4 should be very upbeat and busier. The song My Way is a classic example of that.

I found that very useful and would like this to be updated and relevant to the PA4x.

I would think so, as there are some styles that might have been brought forward and reworked from previous models. Should keep you tinkling away for a while, anyway. Why not add to the list yourself as you discover more with your 4x? Have fun.

It's a reasonable variation but I prefer it 'Straight' as in the original and not 'Swung' as in this Style.

That list that Giner posted is exactly what I want. Very useful . I,m sure Korg could help out here with a comprehensive list of suggested songs / styles. After all they did it for earlier pax's

Hi,
New happy owner of a Pa4X and new on the forum... So learning and discovering.
I took inputs from this thread, did my own research, and assembled a list of likely corresponding songs for the OS V 2.0 factory songbook.

Feel free to suggest additions and corrections and I will update the list from time to time. Note that many times, the "artist" field cannot be populated with a single composer, author, performer, etc. I put a name I felt would help to identify the song.
Simon.
