Loading in sounds/samples on top of other sounds/samples

I've never really fully understood how the sounds/samples works on the Korg arrangers, so trying to figure out this scenario:
I have a saved SET from another keyboard that I want to load a sound bank in from.
I already had some of the sounds in the target bank, some were the same as the ones I'm loading in, and I want to overwrite the target bank with the bank from the SET.
Will the new sounds/samples overwrite the old ones in the memory, so that there won't be any extra/unused samples, or samples that aren't associated with sounds?
Or will it still keep the old samples somewhere in there, and they'll be using up extra memory?
And if they're still there, is there any way to clear those out?
Thanks a lot!
