When you copy SB files to a new SB, the Song Selection Number is NOT supposed to be copied (according to the manual - page 52)

However this is not the case as the Song Selection number IS copied across too.

Hi

The Songbook probably uses a Reference Key to identify entries. If you copy all entries to a new (blank) Songbook then the Database must allocate new reference numbers and they would be the same numerically as the original.

In version notes at the end of the Songbook manual for V1.1.0 (oage 57 - 58):
Song Selection Number reset when copying a Entry from a SongBook to a different one
I hope this helps but apologies in advance if I've misunderstood your point

Yeah this is version 2.0 of teh SB editor, so those old notes don't apply.

Note: When copying an entry to a different SongBook, the entry’s Song Selection Number
is removed.

This is what the Sb Manual for v2.00 states.

Thanks for posting though :)[/img]

I have V2 -
Yeah this is version 2.0 of teh SB editor, so those old notes don't apply.
It is not an 'old note' it documents the historical development of Songbook, as published in V2 pages 56 et seq.

But thank you for explaining this happens when copying an entry and adding this to the potential bug thread.

Sorry, but you did write V 1.10 in your post. It was why I assumed you meant V1 of the SB Editor.
