Manual Bass volume

Hi,

As far as I searched, there's no way to set the bass volume in Manual mode: it's always at maximum 127. I understand that for a bass solo is adequate but, for an impromptu unison line is way too loud.

Korg please! allow us to set another volume level instead of 127, like the level in the style or set at songbook. Thanks!

Jo

Hi Jo,

Have you tried using the volume sliders?

Hi pa4x_user

Yes, sometimes I do when need long bass notes. But I play many songs that have, for example, brass and bass unisons that alternate with the style.

All Ketron and Roland have this feature, I don't understand why Korg don't, been the most customizable of all.

Hope in a new OS release?

Regards,
Jo

Manual way of increase vol

Hi
Sometimes it is also not enough for me the vol. of sounds. Especially guitars. I find another way, when you on main screen press menu than touch mixer tuning. After, touch eq gain on bottom, than upgrade hi gain and mid gain levels for which upper sound do you use. You can add brightness and extra volume for sounds. If you want to learn detailed eq settings watch video below. It is in Turkish language but you can understand methods only by watching. Video for pa900 but it is same on 4x. Enjoy bro...

Playing with manual bass, you use the bass with the volume assingned to the style so if you want to increase the volume more than the global setting, press track select, choose the bass and then you can adjust the volume of the bass.

same SERIOUS problem. Some latin styles bass volume is at 60, when I press manual bass it increases to max.

I think I may have found the answer on page 57 of the manual.

If you look at the bottom of the page there is a global page for setting the volumes of bass and accompaniment.

Hello everyone !
I found the 128 value when manual bass mode is on as a problem, as well.
But also use this feature in 2 ways, without manual bass feature on :

1. When I want just the drums playing without any accompaniments, I write to style a STS with the same lower sound as the style bass sound - same volume, same eq,octave,.etc....And NO CHORD SCANNING (upper or lower)-this way, it will play only the drums. So when i want the style accompaniment back, I just change the STS and all go right.

2. When all the accompaniments are playing, but I want to play only the bass manually for a few measures, I write an STS to style, choose the same bass to lower, same volume, same eq. But I activate the upper chord scanning, and than I use to to assignable switches - to number 3 the bass mute (this way, it will play all accompaniments, except bass) .
In sort of ways, I set the STS with upper chord, and than I press the nr.3 on assignable switch.

If i want to use back the previously settings, i press nr.3 to activate the bass accompaniment, while playing the chords from right hand because in the lower I have the bass sound, as I said, and than I choose the STS with lower chord scanning and voila.

Hope you find this helpful.
Best of luck !
