Trying to send .syx to microKORG

Post by mtvetica »

I just recently got a microKORG, I have had success with using the microKORG SoundEditor and using the .set and the .prg files.

I purchased these:

I have tried MIDI-OX per initial suggestion and also Bome SendSX, neither seem to work.

MIDI-OX gives me the following error:

I have a high end computer so I know it cannot be my computer resources.

Do I need to first clear all my current patches? Is there a setting in MIDI-OX I should check? Any help would be appreciated! or if someone can convert these patches to .prg and .set that would be excellent as well

Hi,

Try to play with the options: Menu Options/Configure buffers/Low Level output buffers/Num and Size.

My experience with my mKXL is that long SysEx dumps tends to contain errors using MidiOx. A possible workaround is to chop the SysEx file per patch. Typically it will contain 1 SysEx message per patch and send them then 1 by 1.

Good luck
