Replacing Oasys tact buttons HELP!

Hello,
I have disassembled the Oasys 76 in order to replace the tact sticky buttons. To get this, in order to remove the left, large board with the sliders I had to remove the vertical bars screwed with two screw each. All of these, differently from the ones keeping in place the right board, have a piece of black ribbon, that seems like glued with some sticky material to some traces on the printed board. Now I have to reassembly it back. Is it sufficient to screw both the screws or do I have to glue / put some other material (like temperature dissipating paste...)?
Please help me!
Thanks
Fernando
