A few more days, PA 1000s have arrived in shop, coming next week

Collected my PA1000 today from my friendly dealer.
Very pleased with it,very handy for gigs less heavy than
my 4X. ecca.

Take your pa4x and your pa1000, plug them in your mixer or amp make them the same volume make sure the Eq are the same, turn off the reverb on your mix board all effects off, then go through the sounds, concert grand on the pa4x and concert grand on the pa1000, and go through the rest of the sounds and the drums, you will see most of the sounds that you use sound really closeto the pa4x.. The PA 1000 as to assignable knobs from the factory the first assignable knob is volume 4 MP3 the second assignable knob is for harmony volume and what I found out is when you change from harmonies to doubling it automatically changes for you so when you're singing in harmony you have adjustment but if you change in the middle of a song to doubling you can adjust how much doubling you need with the same knob also..

Now for this I first made a backup of the PA 1000 including the factory styles and turn that into a direct's style bank..


I wanted both keyboards to be identical, so I loaded in all of PA 4x styles.
All of my midi songs, all of my MP3 songs all my text files which are in separate folders I made an identical copy of my SD card that was inside of my PA 4x now I loaded my PA4x songbook into my PA 1000 now both keyboards are 99% the same as far as vocal effects in the harmonizer the PA4x has over 100 slots for your own custom sets I use a total of eight so I set up my vocal harmonizer on the PA 1000 the same as my PA4x now when I pick a song it also picks to correct harmony so I am happy with how things turn out but we need a songbook for the computer that has the PA 1000 ,, the PA 1000 has no favorite banks it only has user banks so making things point to one another was a small challenge but I figured it out but if korg is just a songbook for the computer it'll be easier that's all enjoy your PA 1000..

I am trying to set up the sound total,with the 4x is was easy via menu
and MAAX, EQ and balance could be set to your choice and room as you
know. I have been busy since I collected it so have Not been able to delve
too far at the present.Any shortcuts I would welcome.
I like the idea of bringing the 1000 up to 4X.I don't use an amp now
relying on live speakers if the room is calling for it.
Thanks for the reply.What I have seen at moment I like 1000 as a second
choice when playing for some gig (which are limited to Charity help
and the odd night at our Keyboard Club) now.

if you like i can send you my set up ,,, with the pa4x styles in the pa1000...it will have my other styles in it and song list , mike setting and stuff like that , my song list will not work , for the most part , because , i hav song and midi and mp3 on the SD card , so the song book will point to song you do not have ,but the styles are there and you can pick what you like ..
the pa1000 is my second choice, but it has all the same setting and styles as my pa4x , its just the pa4x sounds better ,,, no one would no , just pa4x people might,,,

A smaller shipment of PA1000's are coming to Kraft Music I heard today (Feb 13th) with another shipment in early March. I might get mine with this shipment if a couple people bow out which are in front of me on the waiting list. We will see.

No Ingar, I have yet to see it but might get one in a week if I'm lucky. If not, I should see it in March after the first week or so.

Still awaiting delivery of the PA1000 I have currently got a PA700 for testing.

I had mentioned in another post that I will be getting my PA 1000 next Monday. I really do feel for others who paid ahead in Oct like one said. I"m in the US and know that Korg USA is only a branch and only gets what Korg sends them for the USA. Korg is shipping all over the world and demand is high.
