Hi@,
I picked up a T1, unfortunately with the ERROR message "Low Battery...". I can play only one voice, nothing else. I hope I can fix that.
As I read, is necessary to load the factory data after the battery replacement.
My question to you guys, could someone share with me the content of the original factory disks (PCM Piano data included). I mean something like disk images. I can't find on the net.
Thank you a lot
Best regards
Arthur

It should be possible to restore the original sounds using sysex.

All but the PCM Piano.

Thanks for the quick reply.
But, do you know where can I download the mentioned disk content?
I looked at the Korg site, I just found for the M1:
http://www.korg.com/us/support/download ... /139/3374/
I'm looking for this disk:
http://www.melodlist.com/index.php?a=se ... rom%20disk
I've to mention, I'm new to this topic.
Thanks
Best regards
Arthur

Hi@,
after a short challange through the 90s and dealing with floppys, finally I managed and the T1 works again as expected. I'm surprized about the nice voices.
Thank you T3owner for the assistance! Without your help I never could fix this instrument!
Best regards

You're welcome - I'm glad you got things working properly.
Same problem!

Hi,
Just got an old T1 and it only plays one sound - battery issue I suppose.
Could someone send me the sysex-files (and possibly a hint on how to get them into the keyboard using a MIDI-interface)?
Thank you!

Thank you! Seems like just the cure. Do you know how I go about getting it into my keyboard from my computer?
Regards,
Erik

Those 7-byte Dump Request messages won't help. The T3 factory preload as a .MID or .SYX file is about 220kB. Try to find t321pl.zip, which includes both formats and instructions.
EDIT:
The file is available from the Internet Archive at...

Here's a more direct link...

You're welcome.
Yes, there's a way to create the original disk, but it requires a PC with a floppy drive. Do you have access to such a computer?
Also, have you dealt with the supposedly dead backup battery?

HI,
It worked like a charm. I have not dealt with the battery (will do shortly - just wanted to see that it worked first). When the battery is changed I will do the whole thing again and hope that it sticks.
I have no floppy drive and I can live without the piano, so it will be fine. Thanks!

You're welcome - I'm glad that you were able to load the factory presets.
Of course, the PCM Piano isn't the only thing that can be loaded to PCM memory.
