I see a line in the latest release (2.1) that Subscales are selectable using Sysex and/or MIDI messages.

I know this was not possible before and it was a major issue for me - as for Indian Music, I always use custom scale, but Korg Styles and Recording would not retain the scale settings.

Wonder any one has figured the message sequence for this. So I can add that message to the midi event list.

Equally interested in this for my pa1000 as I'm trying to use a midi controller to switch subscale in real time without having to navigate to the subscale tab while playing.

Yes that is exactly the problem I have. I spent lot of energies with Korg when I purchased my PA600 (5 years ago) saying this is a serious omission. But it went to no avail.

I will post another note here about Sysex - so we have a way to figure this out.

I am trying to use Midi OX to monitor Midi Out Messages.
Does any one know the settings to enable, so PA600 will emit sysex and all midi messages on Midi Out?

I am planning to check whether Sysex messages are exported to MIDI file when saving a song.

I know that Sysex Messages are included when one exports a Style to Midi file.
