Hi guys...

Been a while since i posted, I just bought a Kronos back i sold a couple of years ago and getting my head around it again.

Im currently running an FA07, which has a nice mode where you in a Studio Set (equiv to a combi) you can mute and unmute programs (equiv to timbres) with one button press.

For example on pad 1 I have midi channels 1,2,3 enabled the rest muted, on pad two I have maybe channels 3,5,7,8 enabled and the rest muted.

Is there an easy way of doing this on the Kronos?

Can someone point me toward a tutorial or thread explaining how to go about it.

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Thanks guys... that's what I was after.. the one Mike did I remembered existed from a few years back but couldn't remember the sequence. I guess best way is to save a template then use that one for sounds I need to switch in one combi.

Not sure how the other tool can help me... I did take a look but not sure what the software did in that aspect. I can see if makes selecting sounds to make a combi quicker though.

Cheers

Another Way

As others mentioned, Karma is going to be the more popular and probably more convenient answer here.

But I think there's also another way. In one of the Korg Youtube videos with Rich Formadoni (sp?) talking about sequencing, he mentions that RPS can send more than notes, it can send control changes and sysex messages. I'm assuming there's sysex messages for muting individual tracks even if they're on the same channel.

So in theory you could set up a few RPS keys that have the changes you want.

PRO: Leaves the Karma engine free to do other Karma things.

CON: Requires sequencer mode, which I believe means manually reloading your sequencer file each time you power on, but perhaps you're doing this already?
