My Name is Jason, I just inherited an amazing machine and it’s just starting to sink in.....how special this thing is. It is incredibly heavy, feels like it was built out of titanium, once I got over the shock of how it was built, now I am coming to terms that what I have, isn’t just a toy, it is special and I feel grateful to be it’s new owner.

However, with that being said. I will be honest, I am a guitar player, not a keyboard or synth guy, until now. Which is cool, guess I’m one of you weirdos now haha: that’s it, I hope to meet people who can tell me about what I have , learn stuff. I want to find a tube preamp for it...Happy Halloween Space Cadet, mutants, weirdo, the Revolution will not be televised! Now party on

Welcome to the gang mate! I was a guitarist (bassist) before my first synth, which was also a Korg, but not as special as the one you've inherited. I now have more synths than I have fingers and toes! Whatever you do though, do go full modular.... ;)

Nice! Thanks for your reply.

Obviously I’m happy to have this synth. I’m trying to figure out what I need. Struggling with the sound as it’s great out of my tube Amps but scarred I’ll blow the speakers. I bought a PA/keyboard amp/speaker but it’s solid state and just doesn’t sound like my tube, twin reverb set up, but everyone is telling me, not cool. I’m just trying to figure out what I need. An awesome tube amp and stripper. That’s what I need.
What’s your situation? How long have you been into synths? Why the Korg loyalty? Curious
