"Downgrade" from PA4X Oriental to international

Hello,
I bought a PA4X Oriental some time ago. The reason was the price ( on black friday the oriental was 250 euros cheaper than the international version ).
I said that it doesn't matter if it is oriental because the only difference is software and it has more pcm samples in rom memory.
Now i'd like to purchase some media resources form local dealer and preserve my set also. For international version, the user samples are stored in rom in "local", but for the oriental this is not an option. I should load the sounds in user 1-4 and it overlaps with my resources.

Please let me know if it is any official way to downgrade the oriental software to international software ( without oriental styles and sounds ).

Thanks. I don't think i'm the only one who has this question.

I don't think you can do this.

I could be wrong as most previous questions are the "reverse" - international owners wanting to convert to Oriental....

It is a shame that Korg do not clearly define the differences - they even use the same manual for both - very misleading.

Pete :D

Thanks for your reply.
I'm sure that the two models are the exactly same hardware. They seem to use a model validation before accepting the pkg or upd file to install. Maybe i'll try to unpack the os and see what contains the filesystem. It is a linux behind but I don't have the time now...

Hope to find an answer after all...

You just can't , it's strongly encrypted !
Briefly you can't alter the version of your Pa arranger , it's also bios related but you can alter factory resources if you like
and save all new contents under BKP format.

It's already done. The main reason for some users is to replace the logo. I didn't saw anything else done.
The image itself isn't encrypted, but there are only a few binaries (monolith). There is no big deal to see.

The boot loader may be different but I need to say it again: it's only software difference.
