Power socket/adaptor problem

Hello,

My Korg Krome won't power up and I feel that I may have damaged either the AC/DC socket in the workstation or the plug in the KA320 adaptor.

My question is - should one of them have a (male) pin in the middle and if so, which one? I'm not sure if I need to replace the socket or the plug.

Sorry if the question sounds a little stupid but while it was working, I never noticed.

Thank you.

The power connector in the Krome should have a central "male" pin.

Ah! So that's my problem.

I'm grateful to you for replying to what to many would seem a frivolous question. =D>

Apologies. Having gone from memory, I was wrong. I now see that the Krome's power jack on the rear panel has a central insulated female power connector. It is the plug on the end of the lead from the mains PSU that has a rather thin central male pin to go into this. The M50 uses the same or similar connector. I had an issue with the M50 power cable where it goes into the plug. Wiggling the cable brought the power up intermittently. Might be worth checking with your Krome.

That's even better - it will be much easier to replace the plug and/or the adaptor. Thanks again.
