The power adapter that came with the Krome EX is a bit different from the original Krome (everything is the same except that the EX version puts out only 2.5 amps instead of the old version putting out 3.5 amps.

Can the original power supply be used with Krome EX?

It should be no problem. The supply voltage should be the same, which is what matters most. The Krome will only draw the current it requires from the 12V supply, and it will normally be somewhat below the maximum rated PSU spec.
