I just bought a Krome 61. Previously I owned a Yamaha PRS series keyboard, wow, what a step up!
I’ve looked at YouTube videos as much as is available, but I can’t seem to find my answer.
I want to write come combinations of my own, but I can’t get more that two programs to “take”. The third, fourth, etc. look like they are there, but when I mute the first two, I cannot hear or single out any others.
Am I making sense here?
Writing my own combi

Hi! Indeed a big step up!
You're right, they are there but they didn't sound. That's because each location of the 16 available timbres are normally assigned to different midi channels 1-16. When you play your keyboard you transmit only on the channel that is assigned as global, normally channel 1.
So! In order to make the timbres to sound you need to change the midi channel of them, and select the global channel (which is the last one: 1-16, Gbl)
When editing a combination, go to page 3, Timbre Param, then select same midi channel for the timbres you want to sound when playing your keyboard.
Extra tip: when creating combis always use the global Gbl channel (if you intend it), then if you expand your gear and need to work with different channels for each keyboard you don't mess up your combis.
Regards,
JJ
