Korg Grandstage & External Instruments in Mainstage [HEL

Desperate plea for help!
MainStage patches that are sending out external instrument program changes are skipping over (only sometimes though!).
Am using a foot switch to control the patch advance, alongside a Korg Grandstage (proper MIDI), and an Audio Interface.
Help desperately needed. Driving me up the wall!
