Korg SV1 and Scarlett 2i4

I'm running my Korg SV1 through a focusrite scarlett 2i4 and my macbook pro.
The sound difference is quite big between being directly plugged into the Korg vs going via the 2i4. The direct sound is bright and full but via the audio interface and Mac it's murky, grainy and bottom heavy, it lacks the feel and that thing that draws you in, the magic of the SV1 is missing.....
Any ideas what i'm potentially doing wrong??
