Korg Electribe 2 sampler (red) sustain query

I am contemplating buying an Electribe 2 (Red) Sampler. As one of it's limitations is that it has no "Sustain" control on the Amp/EG console, is it possible to simulate sustain in the ADSR envelope by looping a section of the sample (I have seen that this type of sample looping can be done in the manual)? Can this also be done with the analogue oscillators or only with the samples? Any advice much appreciated.
