Looking for Organ synth
I'm new to keyboard. Primarily play sax, but use a microArranger occasionally to fill in with organ and strings. Looking for something about the same size, with full size keys and a better organ sound. Budget: $500. Got any suggestions?

You can get a Kurzweil K2000/K2000VP/K2VX for that money. It's got some decent organs in it, aside from a whole bunch of astounding other sounds.
The VX is the fully loaded model with the additional Orchestral and Contemporary ROMS in it.
They're a bit long in the tooth now, but that doesn't mean they don't sound excellent.

The closest thing I can think of would be a used Roland VR-09, though that might still task your size and/or budget constraints.Tenortim wrote:I'm new to keyboard. Another way to go could be something like a low cost controller (Samson Graphite 49, for example, which is small with a decent action and plenty of controls that could be used for organ, etc.), combined with an iPad running any of a number of apps for organ and string sounds.
