technical support (Save style Freeze) Video illustration

Hello,

I need some technical support for this question.
I´ve loaded a custom set that I really like and want to work with.
Style playing works fine.

Problem:
When i press style record and try to resave styles it freezez up.
When I try to resave for another location it freezez aswell.

Update.2020-07-12.
I´ve so far tried to copy to a new style - parts by parts to see when it freezes.
So far I copy the all the variations and its ok. Intro1,2, count in is ok.
When i copy the Fill ins. It get stuck with infinity loading. What can be the problem here?

Most likely the fill is linked with a sound that is corrupted. You can fix that by moving it's multisamples to a new sound. To verify that it is the sound simply try to select the sound and if it forces a restart or freezes then its that

Hi Aripearlmusic. What you suggest didnt work.

Freeze found in Fills ACC1 probably acc2 also. (Not tried acc2)
So I changed the sound for this ACC to Korgs own sound, but this is still the same result as video shows.

Matthew , this style has invalid settings/code and came from older PaSeries !
Author maybe has tried it only in Pa800 but don't relay on his claims !

As first do the following :
- Save.ALL your Set , go to Media/Utilities and make a factory restore
- Locate style with issue from your Set and load it (only this one) in a new user Bank (whatever you like)
This will prevent from Bank code issues !
- Style Play/Record style and re-save it without any editing !
- If it still freezes , restart , Style Play/Record style again and re-edit all parameters of style
re-writing all styles record modes & values even if they are the same/correct and try to save style again.
This might correct false code of style that leads to infinity loop of CPU.

1) If this will not work , Style is in unrecoverable state and the only way to recover it , is to export SMF all Var , fills , all active CV etc
and recreate it from scratch !

2) If it works , save only this new Styles Bank in a new.SET open your saved SET , load All folders one by one except Global , PCM & Styles
- Now open your Styles folder and load all other Banks with no issues !
- Open saved new.SET and load new Styles Bank in an vacant location.
- Try to play corrected style with its already loaded resources.
If all are fine then load the missing working Styles of old Bank one by one in this Bank.

Thats not a freeze. The icon is still flashing. Just give it a minute or 2. The older keyboards are much slower.

Its 2 scenarios. One with freeze and one with infinity loading. I can trigged this 2 problems with this set in different ways.

I converted styles pa1000 to PA3x using PaManager. The Style “coral keys” froze on the PA3x. The problem was sts1 was named too long. I shortened the name and it did not freeze anymore. Just last week PaManager fixed this problem with an update so it would not happen in a conversion to PA3x. PaManager is great when wanting to create a PA3x set from newer keyboards. Not 100% because some of the sounds you may have to tweet. But you can load all the latest Bonus ware to PA3x that before was not compatible...
