"copy" Volca FM pattern to external sequencer

I'm changing my workflow to a central sequencer (novation SL Mk3) and like to somehow "copy" patterns from my Volca FM to the external sequencer.
It seams to me the easiest way would be to show the notes played per step in the FM and just manually enter it on the SL. However I haven't found a way to see what notes are played in a specific step. Is this possible?
The most rigorous option would be to mod it with a midi out and send it by midi right?
If the first option is not possible is there another way before going to mod it with a midi out?
