Hi,
I tried to upgrade the firmware to 2.9 by following exactly the steps attached to it on PDF.. The processing took a long time showing at the end [Invalid File]..
When I turned off/on again to reformat usb key and start all over again..
I find myself with a splash screen on the screen and keys blinking nonstop.
Please guide me to solve this problem

It is among the choices that I can try but my problem first is that the Korg does not start anymore. It remains on the start screen with the keys flashing

How about getting a new usb stick, from a reliable brand, format it on a PC and putting the 2.9 system on it before plugging it to the Kong ?

Hi,
thank you tbaroghel,
I took a new usb stick (of recognized Brand and Quality) formatted with PC in FAT32 with only the file UPDATE.BIN (system 2.9) in root.
When I plug it into Korg and turn it on, the same thing the device always stays on the start screen for a long time and all the keys flash.. Nothing else!
Maybe i have to press a key combination when switching on ?

See my earlier post above.
I have contacted Korg at Milton Keynes and it looks very much like the Boot up software has been corrupted. In my case probably caused by me updating from 1.4 to 2.9 using a USB stick which was not formatted in the keyboard. Also I believe if you are going to update it is advisable to update versions as they come out, not jump from 1.4 straight up to 2.9. Anyway the upshot is it can be fixed by Korg at Milton Keynes who re flash the CPU to cure it. This apparently takes about an hours labour at £72 a hour. See there web site for a repair form
I bought my EK50 second hand I will have to pay. I don't know the situation if your keyboard is still under warranty.
