Hi there,
You can revert your Kronos to the factory state, but if the previous owner created some great programs, you might lose his custom stuff. There is also another way when some programs refuse to play normally.
If you see a
Missing samples message at the top of the screen when you select those programs, simply select the
Load required samples option in the top right drop-down menu. Choose the
required samples only option. You should then hear the piano sounds that were missing.
If you like those programs and want them available each time you start the Kronos, go in Global mode and select the
KSC Auto-Load tab. Once there, check in the list if you see
EXs7 or something like
Japanese Piano KSC file (as maybe it was modified/renamed by the previous owner). If so, make sure the little select square on the line is red.
If not, click on the
Add button, then navigate on the Kronos disk to the
FACTORY directory and then to the
PRELOAD_Individual_KSC one. You can then select the EXs7 KSC file (Japanese piano) there to add it in the list. Once back in the auto-load tab, make sure it is selected with a little red square. All done.
Note that depending what is selected there, you might be already loading the memory to its maximum. In that case, you will have to unselect some KSC file(s) you don't use/like so that everything can be loaded in memory. To make sure everything fits in memory, click on the
Selected Auto-Load option at the top, it will tell you if you are OK (no red indication).
