Told you that there would be something around the Kronos' 10th anniversary. My Japanese friend was right.

Looks like Kronos, but without KARMA. Supposedly, 4 scenes of arpeggiators instead. Sampling, Sequencer, 9 engines, similar to Kronos, though some workflow will be different. Phrases and AI features.

Clearly not a flagship (from the minimal controllers depicted), but could be interesting... especially if this portends a "Kronos III"...

Dynamics knob sounds like the montage's super knob.

If the Dynamics Knob is like the one on the Vox Continental and Grandstage, as I highly suspect, it's nothing like the Super Knob.

I'd welcome this synth if its basically all the engines of the Kronos without all the other crap(Karma/Audio/Midi Sequencer)

Korg needed to bridge that Gap in their synth line,They currently don't have anything that really gives players access to the Kronos sound engines without having to pay through the nose financially for a whole host of other s**t you don't need,As a sum of parts the Workstation is pointless nowadays,they need a comparable synth in the Catalogue to that of the Yamaha Montage/ModX lineage

I think a lot of players would Welcome a lower cost Performance synth that just was the Internal engines of the Kronos.

One man's crap is another man's gold.

KARMA is gone. Arpeggiators are back, as is the Audio and MIDI Sequencer. If what I'm hearing is correct, you're getting something near a MODX priced Kronos (street price) with 25 gigs of sounds. Don't hold me to that; it will bear out soon enough. If so, this will be what you want and more.

from the looks of it it seems to be a Krome but with the Kronos engines in it. I have yet to see any mention of the quality of the keybeds though.
