Hi new user of microkorg. If you help me with something. I want to use the vocoder like this . I send midi notes to microkorg and I record voice in recorder . I send the recorder in audio line 2 . I switch from mic to line and and the volume of input high . I also switch to osc1 and choose audio from the first control and from the second 127 for audio 2 . I really can’t figure out what I am doing wrong . I don’t want to use the microphone of the vocoder . It works that way .
Thank you

Hi,
Refer to the manual, more in particular the Vocoder Block Diagram (p31).
* The recorded voice must be input in Audio In 1 instead of Audio In 2, because the vocoder can only use Audio In 1 as modulation signal. Use the dynamic input and choose line. Disconnect the condensor microphone. Tweak the volume 1 as you wish.
* Osc1 is the carrier. You choose here a waveform which has a rich spectrum (harmonics) like a sawtooth so that the recorded voice via Audio In 1 can modulate it (i.e. filter certain harmonics).
Have fun.
