How to Sync Minilogue XD with Roland TR8?

Hello - first post here

I am having problems syncing Minilogue XD with my TR8. I have connected TR8 MIDI OUT to XD MIDI IN but that does not trigger sequencer or sync with CLOCK, the XD manual suggests MIDI clock will be enabled upon MIDI plug connection but that is NOT the case.

In the XD manual it also says to use stereo mini SYNC IN on the XD when using external hardware but which output would that be on a TR8? Does anyone know? I have seen a YouTube clip of someone successfully syncing TR8 and XD and it seems really good once done, alas the poster only replies to comments praising his music and ignores questions on how it is done.

Please help if you know!! super keen to get this going.. I am not after a TR8 Side chain of XD - I want the XD clock to sync and for the XD sequencer to trigger upon starting the TR8
