KARMA Midi Set Up Help Needed PLEASE

Hi there, after many hours trying to figure this out myself (& failing) I am reaching out to this forum with the hope someone can help me!

I decided to try & make some music again after a 17 year break & make a simple studio set-up!

I took out my old Korg Karma, which had been boxed away safely and wanted to use this classic keyboard as my main & only midi keyboard.

Using my MAC desktop (running Catalina 10.15.7), and an E-MU XMidi 1x1 TAB, with Studio One DAW, I thought this would be easy enough to set-up!
Plugged in the E-MU USB - all good, was recognised in the MIDI Studio set up in MAC utilities.

I set-up the Karma as a new devise in the MAC midi set-up but when I tried testing the set-up .. nothing. So i am getting no midi from the Karma to the mac (checked also in Studio One & even garageband).

I read my old manuals for the Karma, I thought I had the midi settings set-up correctly in the Karma Global midi settings - but obviously I have made mistakes or am missing something:
Under the Midi settings I have the following:
Midi Chanel: 01
Note Receive: ALL
Midi Clock: External
Convert Position: Postmidi
Local control is switched off (not selected)
All the other screen options are switched off (Midi filter / Enable program change / Bank / Combi / AfterT / Ctrl Change / Exclusive)

So can anyone please help... either settings within the Karma or on my MAC are not correct.

UPDATE: I Got the general midi to work, so pressing the keys are recorded into the DAW. What I have not yet been able to do is midi-messaging when using any of the knobs or wheels.. any suggestions on a fix please?

Ensure that the Ctrl Change box is checked in Global menu 2.1.

If that doesn't work, try disabling any MIDI echo-back feature in the computer and turn on Local Control in the Karma keyboard.
