Can someone kindly help me,
Sampling Window
when the sample name greyed out on the list, what does it mean?
Is it not assigned to any style? or deleted?

Also,
When I check the available Memory on the Sampling Window shows
Samples:9830
Drum Samples 3435
Multi Samples:432

Selected samples : 39692
Samples : 39692
Sampling Frequency: 44100
My question: What is the Selected sample 39692 ?

Thank you for any input,.

When a sample is grayed out it can be 2 things!
1)Locked sample
2)Unreferenced sample (not working one/missing).
To find out which of the 2 is correct you can make a new multisample and assign this specific sample to the whole keyboard and play (no need to save).
If there is sound, it is the 1 , if no sound, it is possibility 2!

Now about the samples/DS/MS what it says is how many you have in your set right now,not the remaining ones. What is left is on the right column where it says the seconds and bytes left!

musiccankill,
Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge about Korg pa1000.
I will try what you suggested. I also found out the answer to my second question:
A- The sample number at the lower left corner of the sample page
is the the size of the sample in samples. The max size for each sample in pa1000 is 1,048,576 or the one megasample. The maz number of samples we can have is 15,048 (taken from the pa1000 Manual).

Best,

Al
