Nanokontrol Studio usb port issue

Hi,
just purchased a used Nanokontrol Studio but the provided USB cable doesn't lock in the USB-b port and the plug stays out for a couple of millimeters.
Is this ok? the cable came off very easily. Maybe I got the wrong cable? Is the bundled cable shorter than usual? I mean just the plug...
