Hello,
The Kronos 88 seems to have been removed from the biggest european online shop catalog,
https://www.thomann.de/gb/index.html.
Kronos 61 and 73 are still available, for the moment.

Hummm? Now that is interesting if it is an indication of Korg moving away from manufacturing the Kronos. I think I can hear the "caterwauling" from here. I think people need to realize that the Kronos has had a great run and now one must look to the future for what Korg has in store for its line of workstations. Some say that the Nautilus is that future and others may think it is just a stopgap as they transform to something entirely new. I really doubt that Korg would telegraph its marketing direction in this regard. That would run counter to the company strategy it has had in the past. Maybe just wait and see.

I would go by a phone call to Thomann to confirm any product wind down, or EOL, etc etc

In the past Thomann removed products from their catalog when they were not available on short term, but the moment a new batch arrived they were back in the catalog (like with the Montage).
So I would not jump to conclusions just yet.

Yes Greg, I've sent an email to Thomann. They answered me the Kronos 88 has been moved out from their website.
A french seller says he can't get the K 88, anymore.

I have not noticed that but perhaps you're right.
Look at the Montage 7 : they say "
Available in several months" !
Yet they didn't remove it.

You’re right, maybe they changed their policy.
I do know that some time ago the Montage suddenly no longer was listed on Thomann’s site which made me wonder if Yamaha had discontinued it. A while later Thomann added the Montage again to the catalog.

to add to the Kronos 88 speculation, there are about 20 factory new , for sale on reverb and eBay here in the US
I am not counting the LS model.
Might be some cross listings on a new 88 K2 on eBay/reverb.
I note that some retailers have gone nuts on their new 88's, well over $4000 asking.
Why not ? Thats the 'lets try it' capitalism spirt here in the US

Hi Fred, good fact finding. It would be nice if they said ' exactly why '.
Which is why I like phone calls.
I think we are at 95% into the conclusion that Kronos 2 is at EOL status based on the various signs and facts.
It would be better for Korg Inc to formally announce a significant change in product/model supply.
At least, thats the way I would proceed if I set policy at a co. I am in favor of good communication.

I have had discussions and got interesting info.
IOW, we don't know unless we try. Its easy to pick up the phone and ask the right questions.

After ten years of "good and loyal services", I've just had today confirmation of the End of Line for Kronos 88 and Kronos 73.
At the moment, no more news about Kronos 61.

That would confirm what the Korg engineer said about the Nautilus being the successor of ‘the Kronos engine’.
Does that mean Korg may be working on a new high end workstation which is something entirely different?
I find it difficult to believe that Korg would abandon the high end workstation market given the success they had with the Kronos.
