Hi there,
Just bought my Prologue 8 - I can't tell you how thrilled I am. Honestly.
One thing I am struggling with is, getting the instrument to respond to midi velocity FROM Ableton. I have plugged in my Midi cable - but no USB. Is this a USB feature or should it be responding to the velocity I have made in a mdii sequence in Ableton?
Or am I just missing a nob on the device I haven't switched on?
Thanks
Midi velocity from Ableton with KORG Prologue 8

Look for "EG Velocity" and "Amp Velocity" in the Program Edit pages. EG is the filter envelope and Amp is the volume. Both can respond to velocity.
On the EG Velocity page, turn up the value and possibly adjust the filter cutoff and filter envelope amount until you start hearing results. Obviously you need to be sending different velocity values to hear a change. Midi cable versus USB doesn't matter as long as midi is being received.
