I'm looking at both, and I'd like to know if you can use a librarian VST etc to run either synth as multi-out. Or if you can only do so with one channel?

Send midi from the DAW to the synth, playing multiple midi channels at once with different patches.

Hi,

No that is not possible. The mK(S) support only one patch at once, having 4 voices of polyphony listening to the same MIDI channel.

The mkXL(+) support a multi mode, which is a patch with 2 timbres and each timbre can be triggered by a separate MIDI channel. But in total limited to 8 voices polyphony.
