Is it possible to get a release setting with the Volca Sampl

I have a Korg Volca Sample 2 and would really like to apply a release setting to it in order to sample something tonal and prolonged and play it from the sample as if it were a synth voice (would not use sequencer obviousl). I was wondering if there's a way to do this, be it with the Volca or with external gear that I could purchase. Sorry if this a dumb question, I an a noob. Thank you!
