Preordering new gear general question.

Hi!

Anyone have any thoughts about preordering newly released synths? My intuition is that the first production run might have faults or non software bugs that is not discovered yet. Anyone have the experience?

I give an example; Never had any problems with my *not Korg synth* but people online report about broken keys. My unit was bought a year after launch date.

Please not that this is a general question and not a about a particilar product.

new product warranty should cover product issues ..

most gear gets new software/firmware type updates as bugs arise ..

i like to read a few 'hands on ' reviews first ... pre-production units are sent out for folks to fiddle with on many occasions ..

check your retail store's return policy also ..
