Assignable pedals

Post by Cathy »

Here’s my dilemma…

In my duo I do the music so that means playing leads with my right hand on my Krome (situated on the 2nd. Tier) and drums and rhythm on my PA700 on the main level.
Regular playing is done in an octave that is too low for chording with my left hand so I need to transpose up one octave during leads, I can’t contort my arms enough to go up that octave on the 700 so I need to be able to transpose it with a pedal.
I used a switchable pedal (not Korg) in the assignable input and went to the manual that explained how to assign it to the octave transpose. It does change the octave but…getting it back down to the original octave doesn’t happen! Every pedal push just takes it up another octave!
I know Korg makes the PS1 and will buy one if I have to but only if it’s going to do what I need. Any ideas?
