Looking at a used PA3x - what's lost by not going for a PA4?

Post by pax-eterna.1 »

Got a reasonable price on one, but was wondering, if I'd be better putting it toward a PA4x instead?

Opinions?

Thanks

PA3X is outstanding.
I imagine getting the 3x will save you some money vs the PA4x.

There is a huge difference in the PA4X in many areas.
The 4x is designed around SONGBOOK where the 3x was not.
The 3x has PERFORMANCEs registrations (PA4x does not but is far better IMHO)
Sounds? Well, that's totally subjective but I personally find the PA4X superior in terms of sound quality.
PA4X has KAOSS - many may say it's a waste but wait 'til you try it!!!
Touch screen is far better on PA4X - it is more responsive and is larger - better all around for performing and recording.

This is barely a handful of things the full list is big.

If you end up with the 3X, you will not regret it.
Please note:- PA3x has a ridiculous "battery-backup" to speed up load time however, it can run perfectly without these batteries.

If you can afford a PA4X, go for it - it is an outstanding professional keyboard unlike its competition - I am happy to further qualify that if you wish.
PA4X may well get cheaper when/if Korg announce a (speculated) new model - many seem to think it will be this year but so far, all unsubstantiated rumours.

Take care and good luck with your choice....
