Midi Program Change info > Nord Lead A1

Post by gazmondo1968 »

Hi All, I have a question please if anyone can help. I have a Nord Lead A1 connected via midi to my Nautilus so that I can send tempo info from the Nautilus.

The only issue is that when I am in set list mode in the Nautilus, clicking on a new set list item moves the program number on the Nord Lead A1 up by one. Does anyone know how to disable this? Or better still where you go on the Nautilus to specify the program number the set list item can send?

Thank you!

Disable the Program Change,
Global>Page>MIDI, set the Enable Program Change to off.

Thanks Dan - I had tried that previously and it didn't make a difference. Ultimately I changed the Nord Lead A1 to not receive program change data and that worked. However, is there a way to get the setlist to output a specific program number?

I think is possible. Each SLOT send the SYSex data as MSB LSB but the best way could be to transmit the prog change from a specific timbre in combi. For example, if you need to use a Piano strings from a Kronos and synth from NORD. Select the NORD to different MIDi Ch then 1 for example 2. Select one timbre to Ch2 and Statius EXT. Will not sound in Kronos but will send the data to NORD. Check the corresponded Kronos program to your Synth in NORD then save the Combi. Also if use a status EXT2, open the Timbre Parameter and select the Bank MSB and LSB to find the Synth in NORD. Usually the MSB transmit the bank number and LSB the programs number.
