Where is the Legatos from Kronos,/Natilius?

How long load time for a 6 gb set?

Where is KAOS?

I did not find:

1. CREATOR BOT - midi to style converter

2. I can't LOAD my SET from Pa4X

3. Not SSD HD - micro SD slow compared to SSD, SATA

4. SEQUENCER: - all functions are missing: copy, delete track, quantize, transpose .... menu-sequencer: SONG EDIT page)

5. STYLE: - all functions are missing: copy, delete track, quantize, transpose .... menu-sequencer: STYLE EDIT page)

6. Inaccessible LOAD menu during SET backup, for example from KORG Pa4X

7. The IMPORT SET function does not work well, for example from KORG Pa4X)

8. When IMPORT SET from KORG Pa4X (SET backup) KORG PA5X started to convert SET to KST which is a new backup format Pa5X (backup Pa4X 1.9GB SET) Pa5X performs an estimated 30% in 3h hours and then interrupts the task or shuts down Pa5X.

9. STYLE: on the Style-Menu page: STYLE CONTROLS - the KICK AND SNARE DESIGNATION option is missing!

10. MIDI - SONG stand CHORD lacks detection of chords from MIDI. This feature only works if the MIDI contains chords, the detection is NOT

11. KAOS missing - not

12 STYLE+QUICK RECORD to MIDI song: NO NO
In the STYLE PLAY mode, if you want to record a song with a MIDI style. Press RECORD - NEW SONG and you have only 1 recording method and that is (according to PA4X , Pa1000 ...) NEW SONG - QUICK RECORD or STEP QUICK RECORD option is missing. This means that it is NOT possible to record a MIDI song from a style!
In other KORG Pa, such recording is called QUICK RECORD where BASS, DRUMS, PERC, ACC1-ACC5 + PAD1-4 are recorded.

It is possible to record ONLY 1 MIDI track in real time on the Pa5X.

so far these few observations.

I miss these two options:
- KICK and SNARE DESIGNATION
- DRUM MAPPINGS Variation 1 to 4 (off, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)

The lack of the "Midi to Style" has put me in a holding pattern..... BUMMER.......

If I can’t edit a style or create one from scratch because of the missing functions, there’s no point in me getting the 5x.

This right here is the main reason I won’t get one until that is fixed. What a bummer.

I have to add:

- I see only 2.5Gb of ram (5 compressed)

- Encrypted sets do not work at all (encrypted resources found)..Tried both sd cards and USB encrypted sets..

Having said that, the keyboard sounds amazing compared to any other PA in the past in my opinion..I played a bit with all the new goodies and i couldn't believe it (and yes i had the pa4x before i got the pa5x)!

I m not disappointed at all though..
I bought it day 1 to have the full experience of bug finding hahahaha
I knew there will be bugs that will eventually get fixed soon...
Although such big bugs like the encryption not working are a bit on the unacceptable side given how many "testers" had got the keyboard months earlier than release....

Good thing, it hasn't crashed at all for the hours i have it booted here doing all sorts of stupid tests that nobody in normal use would do (click buttons randomly fast, load sets that are known to not work ok , etc)...

Can we import a DAW created midi file to create a style or not ? I only rely on this function on my Pa4x to make styles.. If that is not available I am going to stick with my Pa4x...

It has import and export SMF yes.Although i haven't tested them yet so can't say if they work as they should!

As i say to anybody that uses their keyboard as a work tool , don't sell the old one till the new one is stable and most release bugs have been found and fixed!

There are other ways to do that!
For example midi for now!
I used to use an fcb1010 as a pedalboard for some time and it was way better than ec5..
Ec5 always felt small to me.

I still have my FCB1010 - the biggest issue was using it for SYSEX functions for which THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A MIDI IMPLEMENTATION MANUAL.

We've asked for this a million time since the very beginning of the PA series.
There are functions which are very hard to program in the FCB1010 like "Bass Inversion toggle", "Rotary Speaker speed toggle" etc... there are many functions that the EC5 can be directly assigned to that are not at easy (if not impossible) with the MIDI pedal and without MIDI configuration details.

EC5 is perfect - they would make $$$ by offering an EC10!!! A critical performance tool.

Not happy about this at all....
