Hi everyone,
I tried to understand what is the actual polyphony of the Opsix. It states 32, but in some instances 24 and even 2 or 3. I’m thinking of getting an Opsix to complement my Minilogue xd, but less then 8 note polyphony is a no go. Can someone explain what’s the actual polyphony?
Opsix actual polyphony?

I have the opsix (and LOVE it). Manual says 32 or a max of 24 depending on the settings. I’m not sure how to interpret that exactly but I’ll say that I’ve never run out of voices in my work with the opsix. That’s probably not the response you wanted but it’s been my experience with the opsix. I highly recommend this synth!
Seems that it is 24 when you use the HD waveforms, as described here: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/korg-opsix .
Not sure what the part about 4 or 3. I never ran into such a low polyphony. Only if you use Unison, that multiplies the number of voices needed by that setting. But that's for obvious reasons; unison is multiple voices playing the same note with a slight different pitch and padding.
In general it is not a concern running out of voices, also with a big keyboard connected. Well, I can't speak for you of course. But with a piano background, I like to throw in big chords a lot.[/i]
