No Distortion effect in Nautilus?

Post by romandesign »

I was very surprised to find out that there is no dedicated Distortion effect in my new Nautilus! I was counting on it to make gritty synth patches, but no, there's nothing... Manual actually says "You can use any type of effects, from distortions and compressors to choruses and reverbs." But there are no "distortions"!!! Only overdrive/amp sim, which is not the same. I hope Korg can consider it for the next software update... But what are the chances... It's purely software, shouldn't be more CPU intensive than other effects and would add a lot of modern sound possibilities to Nautilus. It's a glaring omission that's very unfortunate... Unless I'm missing something and it's there somewhere...

While at it there are other destructive effects that could be useful: but crusher, lo-fi, different creative distortion options etc. The area seems to not be there...[/i]

Hi Roman, will need to explore more in the Fx section. Stereo Wave Shaper, Grain Shifter, Stereo Decimator, Od/Hi Gain-Wah, Stereo Tube Preamp...
