Gate/Envelope/ADSR plugin or equivalent or ideas?

Hi all!
So I've been working on the intro synth for Won't Get Fooled Again, which as we all know is an organ into a synth for a little filtering and ADSR action. (We knew that right?) I've been able to fake it up mostly using the Filter plugin and creative use of square wave LFO. That's the problem though, square wave isn't really right, it should have a little more sustain and a smoother drop.
And that's where I'm sort of stumped. In a "workstation" synth built any time after 1997, I'd expect to see some sort of "gate plugin", ideally with tempo sync and reset-on-gate. But I haven't found one. Or a filter with a tempo trigger? Help? Anything? My kingdom for a workaround!
I mean, yes, honestly I bought it for the Rhodes sim, and that's as good as ever, but the lack of what I used to think of 20 years ago as "modern features" is becoming a bit disturbing...
