User songs and keyboard registrations

Good morning, group, from Wales UK

It seems to me that if I play a user song, and wish to play along with it - an additional part, e.g. - I cannot set any fresh registration for the live play - the EK-50 will recognise only what was set at the time of the recording?

Is this the case ?

Disappointing if so, but I suppose the obvious work-round would be to further record the user song as an audio file.
