Wavestate Native UI unresponsive in Ableton Live

Hi,
I just purchased wavestate native and was excited to get to using it. Unfortunately the UI is very unresponsive in Live.. it's barely usable. I don't have trouble with any other softsynths and my CPU is not even taxed. Basically when doing things like clicking on elements in the UI, turning knobs, etc, there is what feels like a very slow "refresh" rate - the knob values jump instead of turn smoothly.
Has anyone else experienced this?
