The majority of bugs present on 1.0 exist on 1.1.0.
style creator not completed
Note transposition table "no transpose" still not working (very important on my work)...
Intruments don´t change on variation change if songbook is used
Etc....etc

available Ram is now correct with indicated specs...
(maybe a a move from korg because there will be many law suits with clients wanting their money back and are trying to have hardware specs conforming manual....)

I want a working keyboard ...corrected bugs, not new functions...

So many months passed... you had the time to do it....What is happening with your software engineers????? We are not priority when we spend 5000$ on a suposed to be top of line keyboard???

Korg .... Are you joking with us?

This update seems have been ready in September 2022. All improvements that had been announced are confirmed.

Will Korg announce the next update?

Nope. A closer look inside the package learns me the compilation date of the package is 11/25/2022 09.17. Which means November 25th, 2022 at 9:17 AM.

With all respect, WHY THE FUNK, did we buy it if the REC STYLE/EDIT/KAOS7 etc is not even there, and we really do not know if and when its gonna be there.
This is not good . 6 month of waiting :(

This is exactly why I canceled my order and decided to see what the update will bring. I'll be sticking with the PA4X for the time being.

It’s called Fraud my brother Asena.

I have said it many times , korg has fraudulently sold an unfinished product and taken a huge dump on its customers .

Stop wailing that you have been conned . It won’t change anything .

Demand your money back with interest . There are enough people on this forum to get together and make a class action against korg .

Korg know they have unclean hands .

Question.

You cannot record and edit a style even with this update?

Even with the new update it feels like Pa5X is playing catchup with previous models Pa functions.

In my eye maybe I'm wrong it has some fundamentals wrong. Basically looks like every previous familiar functions first has to be established by Korg if it has an interes to include it in the new OS Pa5X then after has to be re-designed again and adapted for the new OS which takes a lot of time and resources.

I don't mind a new approach and a fresh start but trying to sell basic function which were available and working since pa1x for an upgrade is a joke.

To convert my set which I had been working on it for more than 10 years building and revising to every Pa released on Pa5X it's nearly imposible. I will need to build from scratch every sound, every drum kit, every style, everything user customized which takes a lot a lot of time... and even then with the restriction of the OS its imposible because some functions are still missing or have bugs and not working as previous models.

If for example the Pa4X had an update which even only increased the sample slot numbers i'd never even considered a look at the current Pa5X.

If I have 4000 to spare and a lot of spare time maybe I would give Pa5X a try and propably even help Korg identifying bugs or working issues however I would still keep the Korg Pa4x. I feel for the people who sold Pa4X to upgrade I know many who are trying to buy it back.

Hi, I certainly don’t regret buying PA5x, bugs and all. Just great having a Korg again after 3 years.Haven’t had a great deal of time to spend on it since updating, but I did decide to put my Pa4x style base thru again. When I initially did it, it took something like 8 hrs to put all the .set’s thru, this morning , the same style .sets took about an hour. Mine are purely old styles, no samples or user sounds involved. Plus initially there were a few styles that didn’t load, this time they all loaded. Don’t know if they all work correctly, , too big a job to check them all at the moment.

Losing backwards compatibility is a bad thing. But it is probably inevitable from time to time in order for development to continue. As a programmer, I know this with the Python programming language, when the transition was made from the Python 2 series to the incompatible Python 3 series. It took many years when both versions were maintained simultaneously and migration tools were created. Even so, many programmers had a lot of work to edit their programs. It's okay to stay with the old tool for now and prepare to move to the new one. It is not possible from day to day.

As far as I know, Korg has announced an OS update where the EDIT menu for SEQUENCER, STYLE, PAD will be incorporated.
Style to midi recording. Date for October 2023. Unfortunately very very very slow reaction for customers, response
